About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at eTeach UK Limited. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing essential learning and accessibility support to young people and adults with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the team to provide learning and accessibility support to students with SEN, including facilitating their access to and achievement of learning programs.
  • Provide person-centred learning support to students with severe and complex learning difficulties and/or disabilities, including supporting them with personal care where necessary.
  • Work with individuals or small groups to encourage students to engage with activities or work independently.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with students, teachers, parents/carers, and other agencies involved with the students.
  • Have good literacy and numeracy skills and be able to take instructions from learners regarding their support needs.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish good working relationships.
  • Have exceptional organisational skills combined with good IT knowledge and sound administration skills.
Requirements
  • Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment and an understanding of safeguarding and discrimination issues.
  • Ability to work with SEN learners in a secondary or FE environment.
  • Good knowledge of SEN policies and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
