Job Description

Westlakes Recruit is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering key projects across various sectors, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define, plan, track, and manage projects to achieve defined objectives.
  • Lead project resources to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Escalate project exceptions through governance processes and identify options for resolution.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including internal and external teams.
  • Collaborate with project teams to deliver projects to defined cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Support tender submissions from a project management perspective.
  • Prepare schedules, monitor progress, and track project spending.
  • Establish and maintain weekly reporting, including internal and external team meetings.
  • Prepare meeting packs, presentations, and capture minutes.
  • Positively influence key stakeholders associated with the project.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation templates.
  • Ensure all project deliverables are completed in line with the schedule.
  • Identify potential dependencies, assumptions, risks, exceptions, opportunities, and project problems.
  • Implement corrective actions and highlight updates or escalations required.
  • Participate in lessons identified processes and embed a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Maintain established processes and develop new ones as required.
  • Take ownership and pride in work, promoting project management success through the team.
  • Manage proposed changes to project parameters, including scope, budget, and schedules.
  • Monitor the quality of project deliverables and ensure project objectives are met.
  • Conduct project meetings and attend program and portfolio meetings as required.
  • Establish effective working relationships with all key stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Degree (or working towards) in Project Management (desirable).
  • APM Project Management Qualification (desirable).
  • Knowledge of NEC3 contracts (desirable).
  • Proven experience of delivering projects to time, cost, and quality.
  • Successful experience of translating analysis into practical implementation.
  • Proficient with the full Microsoft Office suite.
  • Schedule baseline creation and management.
  • Detail-oriented, high standard of accuracy, and quality.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong team player.
  • A drive to succeed.
