Senior Cost Analyst

Job Summary:
CBSbutler is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Analyst to join our innovative team within the aerospace engineering industry. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in managing and analyzing projects that supply critical products and technology for aircrews.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed project cost tracking, variance analysis, and Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting to ensure project success.
- Utilize advanced data analysis tools like Power BI, Power Query, and SQL to provide actionable insights and drive business decisions.
- Engage with stakeholders to support user meetings, ensuring reports and data are used effectively to inform project outcomes.
- Conduct proof of concept reports, ad-hoc data analysis, and system integration assessments to identify areas for improvement.
- Produce and maintain process documentation and provide training to team members on reporting systems.
- Drive continuous improvement in project systems, identifying areas for optimization and implementing new tools and processes.
Technical Skills Required:
- Proficiency in Power BI, Power Query, SQL, and data modeling.
- Familiarity with project planning systems and experience in financial reporting.
- Expertise in EVM, NVP, and project systems analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate and resolve complex data issues.
Role Breakdown:
- 70% Technical (data analysis, project reporting)
- 30% Business Analyst soft skills (stakeholder engagement, presentations)
