Job Title: Senior Cost Analyst

Job Summary:

CBSbutler is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Analyst to join our dynamic team within the aerospace engineering industry. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in managing and analyzing projects that supply critical products and technology for aircrews.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform detailed project cost tracking, variance analysis, and Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting.
  2. Utilize systems like Power BI, Power Query, and SQL to provide actionable insights from data.
  3. Engage with stakeholders to support user meetings, ensuring reports and data are used effectively.
  4. Conduct proof of concept reports, ad-hoc data analysis, and system integration assessments.
  5. Produce and maintain process documentation and provide training to team members on reporting systems.
  6. Drive continuous improvement in project systems, identifying areas for optimization and implementing new tools and processes.

Technical Skills Required:

  1. Proficiency in Power BI, Power Query, SQL, and data modeling.
  2. Familiarity with project planning systems and experience in financial reporting.
  3. Expertise in EVM, NVP, and project systems analysis.
  4. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate and resolve complex data issues.

Role Breakdown:

  1. 70% Technical (data analysis, project reporting)
  2. 30% Business Analyst soft skills (stakeholder engagement, presentations)
