We are seeking a highly skilled Communications Manager to join our small but busy team at the Lucy Faithfull Foundation. As a key member of our Advocacy & Communications Team, you will work closely with our Head of Advocacy & Communications and other team members to develop and deliver effective communication strategies across our services, teams, and brands.
Your primary responsibility will be to project manage communications for our various services, teams, and brands, working closely with operational colleagues to leverage their expertise and maximize the impact of our communications efforts. This will include developing, managing, and delivering communication plans, identifying and developing newsworthy angles, and maintaining existing relationships with journalists while building new ones to raise awareness of our work and advocate for the importance of preventing child sexual abuse.
About YouWe are looking for a communications all-rounder with a strong track record of project management, stakeholder engagement, and media relations. You will be a great communicator, able to distill complex information into clear and compelling messages, and have a deep understanding of how to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including journalists, spokespeople, and case studies.
You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks, and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Your skills will rapidly develop as you work on and link up several areas of communications, working out how best to speak to our varied audiences about the importance of a topic that might not be obvious to them.
What We OfferWe offer a hybrid working arrangement with a minimum of 2 days working from the office to ensure connectivity with other members of the team. You will also have access to a NEST pension, 25 days annual leave (rising to 30 days after 5 years' service), up to 5 days learning and development per year, an employee assistance programme, and the option of Benenden medical cover.
Please note that the successful candidate will be required to undergo a standard DBS check for this position. We are an inclusive employer and welcome applications from all qualified candidates, regardless of their background or characteristics.
