About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Head of Mathematics to lead our thriving Mathematics faculty at a successful school in Suffolk. As a forward-thinking institution, we are committed to helping every student reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to support diverse learning needs, focusing on improving progress and attainment.
  • Oversee curriculum development, ensuring it is engaging, relevant, and aligned with educational standards.
  • Support and mentor staff within the Mathematics department, promoting continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Use data-driven insights to monitor and enhance student outcomes, implementing effective interventions as needed.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a proven record of excellence in teaching GCSE Mathematics to diverse student groups.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading or supporting a department, or the potential to step into a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of Mathematics pedagogy and innovative teaching methods.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a passion for inspiring students and supporting colleagues.
