We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of Mathematics to lead our successful Mathematics faculty. This is a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking school committed to helping every student reach their potential. We are looking for a dynamic leader with a strong track record of success in teaching Mathematics at the GCSE level, who can inspire a love for learning and foster academic growth for students of all abilities, including those with SEN.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the Mathematics faculty to deliver outstanding teaching and learning across all key stages.
* Develop and implement strategies to support the diverse learning needs of students, focusing on improving progress and attainment.
* Oversee curriculum development, ensuring it is engaging, relevant, and aligned with educational standards.
* Support and mentor staff within the Mathematics department, promoting continuous improvement and professional growth.
* Use data-driven insights to monitor and enhance student outcomes, implementing effective interventions as needed.
* Work collaboratively with school leadership to develop and execute long-term department goals.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a proven record of excellence in teaching GCSE Mathematics to diverse student groups.
* Demonstrable experience in leading or supporting a department, or the potential to step into a leadership role.
* Strong understanding of Mathematics pedagogy and innovative teaching methods.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a passion for inspiring students and supporting colleagues.
* Experience working with SEN students is highly desirable.
* Candidates with experience as Deputy Head of Mathematics or those from other leadership roles in education or industry are encouraged to apply.
