Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our client, a leading Legal firm in Aberdeenshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a busy Private Client caseload, attending client meetings, and conducting thorough investigations into estate assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend client meetings and take detailed instructions.
- Register wills and conduct investigations into estate assets.
- Communicate effectively with clients and third parties to gather financial information and documentation.
- Prepare comprehensive registers of assets and debts, as well as inheritance tax forms.
- Prepare inventories for confirmation and apply to the court for confirmation.
- Assist with legal rights computations, prepare fee notes, and manage administrative tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Executry or Private Client Paralegal.
- Strong understanding of estate administration processes.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to handle sensitive information.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of inheritance tax forms and legal rights computations.
