About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team at St Monica Trust. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, providing excellent food preparation and service to our customers and community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to a high standard, using fresh ingredients and adhering to food safety guidelines.
  • Assist with food preparation, including washing and chopping vegetables, and preparing ingredients for cooking.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Work effectively as part of a team, providing excellent customer service and supporting colleagues as needed.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of our menu and food offerings, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to a high standard.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge in food preparation and service.

About You

We are looking for a motivated and flexible individual who is passionate about delivering excellent food preparation and service. You will have:

Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.A strong interest in the food and hospitality industry, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.A level 2 food hygiene certificate (or equivalent) is preferred, but full training will be provided.

Salary and Hours

The salary for this role will be dependent on age and experience, and the hours of work will be part-time, with some flexibility to work Saturdays. Further information on possible hours will be discussed at interview.
