Electrical Maintenance Specialist

The role of an Electrical Maintenance Specialist at Octane Recruitment is to ensure the smooth operation of electrical systems in a residential setting. This involves maintaining and repairing electrical equipment, identifying faults, and providing expert advice to customers.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our client near Rugby, working on a 40-hour week with a shift pattern of 4 days on, 4 days off rotation. The salary for this role is estimated at £43,876.82 per annum, plus an additional 8% site allowance (£3,506.29 per annum), a night shift allowance of up to £5,000 per annum pro rata and weekend supplement for Saturdays and Sundays (£50 per attendance for Saturdays and £100 for Sundays) totalling roughly £4,056 per annum. You may also be eligible for a welcome bonus of £1,500.
As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining electrical systems on site
- Expert fault finding and providing advice and guidance to customers in relation to M&E equipment
- Understanding all plumbing such as replacing taps, sinks, cistern filling / flush units and heating elements
- Understanding and knowledge of general building fabric repairs to maintain the standard of the building
- Supply knowledge in a range of technical situations, making personal judgments on how to undertake work to achieve quality, cost, and time objectives
- Provide technical advice and guidance to other staff and customers to resolve problems
- Delivery of Corrective and Planned Maintenance to meet the performance measures detailed in the contract
You must have an electrical certification such as the 18th Edition and experience in facilities maintenance. Skills in dock/doors, plumbing, air conditioning, air handling, gas appliances, and lifts are preferred but not essential. Certification in IPAF and MEWP is desirable but not essential for consideration. A full UK driver's license is preferred but not essential.
