Mechanical Systems Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Systems Specialist to join our team at Wills Consultants Ltd. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced engineer to take on a challenging role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse automation systems.
About the Role:
This position involves working as part of a small team to maintain and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical systems, including conveyors, sorters, and palletised goods handling equipment. You will be responsible for ensuring all activities relating to both reactive and planned maintenance are carried out within an agreed timeframe.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct routine inspections and maintenance tasks on mechanical and electrical systems
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with warehouse automation equipment
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective communication and coordination of maintenance activities
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system efficiency and reliability
Requirements:
* Engineering qualification (min NVQ/BTEC level 3)
* Experience in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Software to cover complex maintenance and breakdowns
* Knowledge and experience with PLC/Control systems
* Understanding of warehouse management systems
* Experience with conveyors, sorters, and palletised goods handling is desired

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum depending on experience
