Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Years Assistant to join our team at Bright Horizons. As an Early Years Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our young children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Development and Care: Deliver and plan engaging learning opportunities that cater to the individual needs of each child, promoting their overall development and well-being.
  • Assessment and Planning: Conduct accurate and effective assessments to identify the needs, interests, and stages of development of each child, supporting the delivery of the key person approach.
  • Environment and Activities: Ensure a stimulating and inspiring environment is provided, with consistent and engaging activities for children in both indoor and outdoor areas.
  • Safeguarding and Welfare: Safeguard and promote the health, safety, and welfare of children, adhering to our child protection and keeping everyone safe policies and procedures.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to meet the individual needs of children, ensuring a diverse and inclusive approach is maintained.
  • Continuous Professional Development: Attend staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development and stay updated on best practices in early years education.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Early Years Experience: Previous experience working in an early years setting, particularly with children aged 0-5 years.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong communication skills, flexibility, and adaptability, with a genuine desire for ongoing learning and development.
