HGV Class 1 Driver

We are seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Tramper to join our team in Hull. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for transporting curtainsided continental trailers from the ports in Immingham to various destinations across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:- Transport trailers from the ports in Immingham to various destinations across the UK.
- Perform full strip-down of trailers as required.
- Secure goods for export with proper strapping techniques.
- Conduct multi-drop trailer deliveries as needed.
- Reload trailers and return them to the port in Immingham.
- Adhere to tachograph regulations and use the maximum hours legally allowed.
- Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
- A minimum of 2 years proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
- Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
- Full understanding of WTD legislation.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A safety-first mindset.
- Possession of all necessary PPE, including trousers, t-shirts, hard hat with chin strap, safety specs, ear defenders, hi-viz vest or jacket, and safety boots.
- Experience at Scunthorpe steel works (British Steel site) is advantageous but not essential.
- Comprehensive understanding of tachograph regulations.
- Be accustomed to nights out in the cab.
