Lead Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Engineer to join our team at MBN Solutions. As a key member of our data consultancy, you will play a crucial role in shaping and defining data engineering capabilities for our clients.

About the Role:

As a Lead Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building, owning, and operating business intelligence systems for multiple clients. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and clients to prioritize improvements to these systems, ensuring quality and uptime. Your expertise in data governance, process refinement, and documentation will be essential in making our solutions efficient and repeatable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data architectures for clients
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and workflows
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and integrity
  • Refine and improve data processes to increase efficiency and scalability
  • Document data processes and architectures for non-technical stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in data modeling and architecture
  • Expertise in SQL, including concepts like window functions and CTEs
  • Strong Python skills, including data manipulation and analysis
  • Experience with data visualization tools like PowerBI
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable Characteristics:

  • Experience with cloud providers like Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Domain experience in construction, renewables, or engineering
  • Experience with database administration and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience mentoring junior team members
