We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Practitioner Psychologist to join our Paediatric and Young Adult Liver Service at King's College Hospital.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of high-quality clinical psychology services to children and young people (0-25 years) receiving liver care at King's College Hospital.
The post holder will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide specialist psychological support and advice, and will be responsible for the assessment, treatment, and discharge of children and young people with complex psychological needs.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and delivery of clinical psychology services to children and young people with liver conditions
- Provide specialist psychological support and advice to the multidisciplinary team
- Assess and treat children and young people with complex psychological needs
- Develop and implement risk management plans
- Ensure that all services provided are accessible and acceptable to diverse communities
- Doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology as accredited by the BPS/HCPC
- Registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) with practitioner psychologist status
- Post-doctoral training in one or more specialised areas of psychological practice
- Clinical experience in the assessment, intervention, and management of psychosocial aspects of liver or other medical conditions
- Experience of supervision of Doctoral Trainee Psychologist
