Job Title: Power Systems Simulation Engineer

Contract Type: Twelve-Month Contract

Location: Peterborough

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Systems Simulation Engineer to join our team in Peterborough. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for creating and simulating engine and hybrid power system models to optimize engine performance and emissions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement 0D and 1D engine and hybrid power system models to simulate engine control systems.
  • Integrate, evaluate, and optimize novel engine and hybrid components and subsystems using 1D power system and machine models.
  • Compare and validate simulation results with physical power system test data.
  • Propose, research, develop, implement, and test new sub-models for improved prediction of engine performance and emissions.
  • Report simulation results and provide recommendations to improve engine performance or resolve power system performance issues.
  • Collaborate with universities to advance predictive capability of simulation tools for engines and hybrid power systems.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in automotive, engines, hybrid vehicles, combustion, or thermodynamics.
  • Proficiency in C or C++, Python.
  • Experience with 0D / 1D Hybrid Vehicle System Simulation.
