Job Title: Power Systems Simulation Engineer

Location: Peterborough

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Systems Simulation Engineer to join our team in Peterborough. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for creating and validating 0D and 1D engine and hybrid power system models to simulate engine or powertrain control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement 0D and 1D engine and hybrid power system models to simulate engine or powertrain control systems.
  • Use 1D power system and machine models to integrate, evaluate, and optimize novel engine and hybrid components and subsystems.
  • Compare and validate simulation results to physical power system test data.
  • Propose, research, develop, implement, and test new sub-models for improved prediction of engine performance and emissions from 1D simulation tools.
  • Report simulation results and make recommendations to improve engine performance or resolve power system performance issues.
  • Collaborate with universities to advance predictive capability of simulation tools for engines and hybrid power systems.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in automotive, engines, hybrid vehicles, combustion, or thermodynamics.
  • Proficiency in C or C++, Python.
  • Experience with 0D / 1D Hybrid Vehicle System Simulation.
