At Williams Racing, we are seeking a skilled Methods Engineer to play a vital role in ensuring the successful design and production of our high-performance racing cars.


As a Methods Engineer, you will act as a bridge between Design and Manufacturing, ensuring seamless end-to-end business process outcomes. Your primary responsibilities will include:



  • Process Flow Optimization: Define and optimize work orders and process flows for all parts produced in a Formula One car, taking into account efficiency, cost, and quality requirements.
  • Design for Manufacture (DFM): Embed and support a culture of DFM into the engineering design process, enabling design teams to understand the impact of design choices on manufacturing, efficiency, and performance.
  • Manufacturing Process Improvement: Participate in MPI and NCR closure and preventative actions, driving improvement in upfront quality planning and ensuring manufacturing processes are clearly defined and communicated.
  • Process Benchmarking: Benchmark processes and performance against industry best practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Future Factory Planning: Engage with leadership to develop the overall Future Factory plan, incorporating future technology trends and innovation.

To succeed in this role, you will require:



  • A degree in Manufacturing/Production Engineering or a deep technical background and experience in production environments.
  • Excellent knowledge of composites and metallic components, including manufacturing methods and processes.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to work to tight deadlines and short lead times in a small volume manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
