About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CFD Methodology Engineer to join our team at Williams, a leading Formula One team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering CFD capability to the aerodynamics department, either through improvement to existing capability or development of new methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement methodologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our CFD tools and workflows.
  • Work with Aerodynamicists and CFD Engineers to understand technical and engineering challenges and develop technical solutions and processes that align with the wider CFD workflows.
  • Ensure that CFD simulations and analysis carried out within the department are aligned with the capability of the tools.
  • Perform CFD correlation analysis against experimental data.
  • Delivery of robust, observable, testable & performant processes.
  • Optimisation, maintenance, and support of new and existing toolkits.
  • Working and contributing across multiple disciplines of the CFD group, including process, external flows, internal flows, thermal modelling, and pipeline development.
  • Work with our software engineers to translate engineering codes into robust applications.
  • Contribute to the day-to-day activities of the CFD group.
  • Provide at elbow-support to users of the CFD process.
