Senior Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team at Randstad Construction & Property. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading high-profile infrastructure projects in the Midlands, with a focus on building pumping stations worth up to £14 million.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure client objectives are achieved through close teamwork, proactive risk and programme controls, and contractual advice.
  • Prepare tender documentation for consultant or contractor appointments and present to the client for review.
  • Administer tender processes for consultant and contractor appointments.
  • Provide advice on contractors, specialists, procurement routes, cost, and programme solutions, and present to the client.
  • Act as an Employer's Agent on behalf of our clients.
  • Administer and manage cost/variation procedures under relevant appointments or contracts.
  • Attend and/or chair meetings in line with appointment provisions.
  • Prepare financial and progress reports for the client, ensuring specific data requirements are included.
  • Propose innovative initiatives on service delivery.
  • Prepare development and delivery programmes.
Requirements:
  • Degree qualified in a relevant subject, such as Construction Project Management or a similar equivalent.
  • Membership to a professional body, such as the RICS, CIOB, or APM, is desired.
  • Prior experience working in a construction Project Manager role for a similar construction consultancy.
  • Proven experience of project managing large-scale construction projects within the built environment is essential.
  • Experience of administering contracts under JCT contracts, including design and build and traditional forms.
