Chief Financial Officer - ClimateTech Business Leader

Finatal is partnering with a pioneering ClimateTech company that has secured a substantial Series A fundraise. The company is experiencing rapid growth and requires an experienced Chief Financial Officer to drive its next phase of expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive financial strategy to ensure long-term financial stability.
  • Implement and optimize financial processes and controls to support scaling.
  • Oversee day-to-day financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow.
  • Guide the company through high-growth phases, preparing for potential exits (M&A, secondary buyout, IPO etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.

Requirements:

  • VC/PE-Backed Company Experience: Significant experience working in a venture capital (VC) or private equity (PE) backed company, particularly in ClimateTech or sustainability-focused industries.
  • Successful Fundraising Experience: Proven track record in leading successful fundraising efforts, including Series A rounds and beyond.
  • Finance Function Professionalisation: Strong ability to implement, streamline, and scale financial processes, driving operational excellence as the company grows.
  • Scaling to Exit: Ideally, the candidate has hands-on experience in scaling a company through high-growth phases and has played a pivotal role in leading the company to a successful exit, such as an acquisition or IPO.
