  1. Process Management: Oversee internal and supplier-facing processes, adapting and refining them to enhance quality and efficiency.
  2. Production Support: Support production schedules by managing external inspection tasks, ensuring alignment with delivery requirements and client expectations.
  3. Supplier Inspections: Perform in-process, notified, and final inspections at supplier premises.
  4. Supplier Selection and Risk Mitigation: Apply your supply chain experience and utilise supplier performance data to assist in supplier selection and mitigate risks effectively.
  5. Supplier Quality Kick-Off Meetings: Attend and facilitate kick-off meetings with suppliers to ensure a clear understanding of project requirements and expectations.
  6. Collaboration and Conflict Resolution: Liaise with relevant departments to resolve conflicts and clarify specifications, ensuring smooth project execution.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  1. Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification aligned with relevant experience.
  2. Experience in an inspection environment with qualifications such as NDT, CSWIP, NACE, or CompEx.
  3. Proficiency in working with various materials and processes including castings, forgings, fabrications, machining, electrical, and paint.
  4. Strong computer skills and familiarity with SAP or similar systems.
  5. Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis.
  6. Valid UK Driving Licence.
