About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Design Engineer to join our team at Aldwych Consulting Ltd. As a key member of our infrastructure development team, you will be responsible for producing engineering designs throughout the project lifecycle, from planning applications to detailed designs of drainage, highways, public realm, SUDS, and building drainage for major infrastructure and various developments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop engineering solutions for complex infrastructure projects
  • Prepare highway and drainage designs for private and adoptable works
  • Produce technical drawings for tender and construction purposes, including 3D modeling software, MicroDrainage, and AutoCAD
  • Apply design codes and standards, such as Manual for Streets, SuDS Manual, and others
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables meet client requirements
Requirements
  • HNC or BEng in Civil Engineering
  • Background in consultancy or private sector development with experience in residential projects
  • Proficiency in preparing highway and drainage designs for private and adoptable works
  • Skill in producing technical drawings for tender and construction purposes, including 3D modeling software, MicroDrainage, and AutoCAD
  • Familiarity with legal, planning, and technical procedures for new developments and regeneration projects
  • Experience applying design codes and standards like Manual for Streets, SuDS Manual, and more
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented attitude
  • Effective organizational and communication abilities, coupled with a collaborative and responsible approach
  • Proactive, strategic, and analytical problem-solving skills to meet client requirements
