We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Design Engineer to join our team at ZipRecruiter. Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement engineering designs for infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Prepare and present technical reports, designs, and proposals to stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve design and delivery processes.
- Hold a HNC or BEng in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Have a background in consultancy or private sector development, with experience in residential projects.
- Be proficient in preparing highway and drainage designs for private and adoptable works.
- Have skills in producing technical drawings for tender and construction purposes, including 3D modeling software, MicroDrainage, and AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with legal, planning, and technical procedures for new developments and regeneration projects.
- Experience applying design codes and standards, such as Manual for Streets, SuDS Manual, and more.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Effective organizational and communication abilities, coupled with a collaborative and responsible approach.
- Proactive, strategic, and analytical problem-solving skills to meet client requirements.
