Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Recovery Support Specialist to join our team in Exeter. This exciting opportunity will enable you to work closely with individuals struggling with problematic drug and alcohol use, providing recovery-focused support and guidance.

About the Role

This dynamic role involves working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver psychosocial interventions, risk assessments, and referrals within the community. You will facilitate group sessions, collaborate with partnership agencies, and provide duty cover for individuals accessing our services.

Day-to-Day Duties
  • Manage a caseload of service users, delivering a range of psychosocial interventions.
  • Undertake ongoing assessments, risk assessments, and appropriate referrals within the community.
  • Facilitate group sessions with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Work with partnership agencies to ensure continuity of care and support.
  • Provide duty cover for individuals accessing our services.
What We're Looking For

We seek a dedicated individual with transferable skills, ideally from working in a similar environment or sector. Key requirements include:

  • A knowledge and understanding of substance misuse and recovery.
  • Experience of managing, planning, and prioritizing your own workload, delivering work of a high standard.
  • An understanding of safeguarding.
  • An understanding of group working, group dynamics, and group facilitation.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • The ability to work well in a team environment alongside a range of people and organizations.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is £28,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
