About the Role

We are seeking an experienced pharmacy technician to join our team at NHS Dorset, where you will play a key role in improving health and wellbeing in Dorset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support clinicians to incorporate medicines into clinical pathways in the most safe and cost-effective manner.
  • Manage the Dorset Formulary and ensure medicines are aligned with the health needs of our population.
  • Provide technical leadership on medicines optimisation and commissioning.
  • Work collaboratively with system partners to ensure medicines are used effectively.
  • Develop and implement digital solutions to improve medicines optimisation.
  • Provide advice on pharmaceuticals and commissioning within new or existing pathways.
  • Assist and coordinate the drug decision-making process within pathways across the system.

Requirements

  • Registered with the GPHC as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Post-registration/graduate diploma level or equivalent in a relevant subject.
