About Us
The Central Digital and Data Office (CDDO) is part of the Cabinet Office and was established in April 2021 to lead the Government Digital and Data function. We are a dynamic and innovative organization that is passionate about driving digital transformation in government.

We are seeking a talented Communications Lead for Government Digital to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic communications plans that drive digital transformation in government.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in setting direction, overseeing delivery, and measuring efficacy of communications activity. They will possess expert writing and editing skills, with demonstrable experience of creating different types of content for various purposes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic communications plans to support digital transformation in government.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to plan and deliver campaigns that promote the digital transformation agenda.
  • Manage planning and coordination with the press team through our communication grid.
  • Triage incoming requests for communications support for new or emerging priorities.

Requirements:
  • An experienced strategic operator with expert knowledge and understanding of the whole communications mix.
  • Extensive and demonstrable experience in setting direction, overseeing delivery, and measuring efficacy of communications activity.
  • Expert writing and editing skills with demonstrable experience of creating different types of content for various purposes.
