Child Psychologist

We are seeking a skilled Psychologist to join our team at YMCA Robin Hood Group. As a Psychologist, you will work with children and young people to complete psychological assessments and trauma-informed interventions. You will also provide support for recovery through the Ashurst Mastery Model and work with home staff teams to facilitate psychologically informed consultations and reflective practice sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete psychological assessments and trauma-informed interventions with children and young people
- Provide support for recovery through the Ashurst Mastery Model
- Work with home staff teams to facilitate psychologically informed consultations and reflective practice sessions
- Develop and implement trauma-informed care plans
Requirements:
- Doctorate or Stage 2 qualification in Clinical/Forensic/Counselling Psychology
- HCPC Registration as a Clinical/Forensic/Counselling Psychologist
- Membership with the BPS
- Post-qualification experience in a setting relevant to the post
Desirable Qualifications:
- Training in risk psychological/risk assessments and inventories, including Becks Youth Inventories BYI-II, Structured Assessment of Violent Risk in Youths (SAVRY), Millon personality assessments (M-PACI and MACI), Weschler Intelligence Scale for Children Version 5, Conners 4, and Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule
- Training in modes and models of intervention, including Level 1 and Level 2 Training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Accredited, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Mentalization-Based Treatment
