We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Power Electronics Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge power electronics systems, working closely with our cross-functional team to deliver innovative solutions to complex challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop power electronics systems, including power supply design, AD-DC, DC-DC, and inversion
  • Develop and optimize gate-drive circuitry and high-frequency transformer and magnetics design
  • Ensure compliance with LVD/EMC regulations and design for thermal management
  • Collaborate with the team to develop requirements specifications and test procedures
  • System-level integration and testing, including filter design and implementation
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of powertrain architectures, power distribution systems, and wide-bandgap semiconductors
  • Experience with design and test of various power supply topologies, including phase-shift full-bridge, resonant LLC half/full-bridge, flyback, buck/boost, and 3-phase inverter
  • Good knowledge of power switching devices, including MOSFETs and Si-IGBTs
  • Ability to use modelling and simulation to facilitate design and prototyping
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working across all departments
Desirable Skills
  • High voltage experience up to 5kV
  • Thermal modelling experience
  • Motor design and control experience, including BLDC, PMSM, induction, and axial/radial flux
  • Embedded, FPGA, and CPLD experience
  • Serial comms protocol experience, including Ethernet, SPI, I2C, CAN, and CAN-FD
