About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Electronics Engineer to join our team at Saab UK. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative electronics solutions for our defence and aerospace customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-power electronics systems, including phase-shift full-bridge, resonant LLC half/full-bridge, flyback, buck/boost, and 3-phase inverter circuits.
  • Develop and implement system-level integration and testing strategies to ensure high-quality electronics solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage projects and coordinate activities.
  • Develop and maintain strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in wide-bandgap semiconductors, such as Silicon Carbide (SiC) and Gallium Nitride (GaN).
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of digital and analogue design concepts.
  • Experience with electronics design tools and software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
