Job Title: International Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced International Development Manager to join our Governance and Stability team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in international development, with a focus on governance and stability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Project Directors in the successful management of projects to terms of reference, time, quality, cost, and donor and government satisfaction.
  • Manage financial and budget planning, client invoicing, and financial forecasting.
  • Oversee operations management, HR management, and recruitment.
  • Implement partner management, financial and narrative programme reporting, and monitoring project deliverables and workplan execution.
  • Build strong working relationships with project associates and support them to ensure job satisfaction.
  • Support Project Directors in engaging with and managing relations with project clients on a day-to-day basis.
Requirements:
  • An under-graduate degree in international development, international relations, political science, economics, or another relevant field.
  • Demonstrated experience of initiative, planning, and organisation skills, results-focus, and working in complex and time-pressured contexts.
  • Outstanding written English and oral communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to fragile and conflict-affected environments.
  • Enthusiasm and flexibility along with a willingness to travel at short notice and work in developing countries.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
