About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Caseworker to join our team in Cumbria, working 37.5 hours a week from a home-based location with extensive travel throughout the Cumberland West area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload, delivering exceptional services that support commissioners and their service goals for victims.
  • Provide tailored support and information services to meet the unique needs of each victim, prioritizing complex needs in all processes and decisions.
  • Conduct risk and needs assessments, following VS operating procedures, to address client needs and ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are upheld.
  • Offer information and advocacy to empower service users to navigate the criminal justice process, ensuring their rights are protected in accordance with the Victims Code of Practice.
Requirements
  • Experience working with vulnerable adults and/or families.
  • Understanding and commitment to promoting equal opportunities, inclusion, and diversity.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage competing demands in an organized manner.
  • Understanding of confidentiality and safe working practices, adhering to safeguarding and data protection legislation.
  • Capacity to needs assess, risk assess, and empathize with victims.
  • Proficiency in IT and administrative skills, including Microsoft Office packages.
  • High resilience and ability to work under pressure.
