About the Role

As a Music Therapist Volunteer with Alzheimer's Society, you will be part of a dedicated team working to improve the lives of people affected by dementia. Our Singing for the Brain sessions offer people with dementia a chance to enjoy a fun and engaging activity within a supportive environment.

The role requires welcoming and supporting individuals with dementia, helping them to feel at ease during singing sessions. You will provide encouragement to participants and assist the session facilitator with activities either online or in person. Your ability to listen and display compassion is essential in this rewarding position.

We are looking for volunteers who can make a real difference in the lives of people with dementia. If you have an interest in developing meaningful relationships and want to enable people to find their voice through music, this could be the ideal role for you.

Estimated salary: £11-12 per hour (dependent on experience).
