1. Strategic Partnering: Collaborate with the EMEA Leadership team to guide the region's strategic direction, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
2. Practical Legal Guidance: Offer insightful and business-minded legal advice on various topics, including compliance, product, privacy, AI, employment, and commercial matters, while effectively managing risk.
3. Regulatory Awareness: Stay up-to-date with legal changes within the region and work with the Legal team to ensure compliance with local laws.
4. Contractual Integrity: Work with the Global Commercial Leadership team to review and maintain key precedent contracts.
5. Drive Global Improvement Projects: Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing the Global Transactions practice.

1. In-house Experience: Proven in-house experience within a SaaS company, especially in commercial and tech transactions, with a solid understanding of legal regulations affecting SaaS, including privacy and AI standards.
2. Leadership Excellence: Significant experience in managing solicitors/lawyers, ideally in a remote and geographically dispersed environment.
3. Legal Credentials: Licensed to practice law in one or more EMEA jurisdictions, preferably in England & Wales or Ireland.
4. Ownership Mentality: Act as the face of EMEA Legal, taking ownership of its performance and success.
5. Commercial Acumen: Ability to advise on innovative commercial models that support sales initiatives.
6. Skilled Negotiator: Experienced in drafting and negotiating various commercial and tech transactions commonly found in the SaaS industry.
7. Organizational Skills: Strong project management and execution skills, with a collaborative and flexible approach to teamwork.
