About the Job:

We are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our highways maintenance team in Exeter.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive value for money and efficiency across all contracts.
  • Review and report on project costs and values.
  • Manage subcontractor accounts.
  • Prepare accurate applications for payment, invoices, and supporting documentation.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years' experience in the industry, with a proven track record working on small to medium-sized contracts.

  • A strong understanding of labour, plant, and material costing is essential.
  • You should have experience in valuations, applications for payments, and variations.
  • Skills in placing subcontract orders and managing pre-let meetings are also required.
Benefits:

The salary for this position is £28,000 - £30,000 per annum, and it's a permanent, full-time position in a dynamic team.
