About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Night Support Assistant to join our team at Riverside. As a Night Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality support service to our customers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of personalized support and move-on plans to customers.
  • Understand and assist in the risk management process, ensuring regular reviews of support and risk are undertaken.
  • Inspire and motivate customers to meet agreed outcomes and develop life skills, promoting their independence and self-sufficiency.
  • Assist customers with day-to-day support and tenancy-related matters, ensuring their needs are met and their tenancy is maintained.
  • Assist the team in identifying and promoting opportunities for employment, education, and training, supporting customers to access these opportunities.
  • Signpost customers to appropriate external support services, ensuring they receive the help they need.
  • Support customers to be 'tenancy ready', enabling successful move-on to independent living.
  • Support customers to be financially independent through budgeting plans and maximizing income.
  • Support and monitor customers' healthcare needs, ensuring appropriate contact with healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain and update clear, accurate, and strengths-based records on the appropriate digital platform.
  • Assist in the promotion of customer involvement and consultation, ensuring their voices are heard and valued.
  • Assist with the delivery of a range of group work sessions, promoting social interaction and community engagement.
Deliver a Support Service
  • Support the delivery of the referral process for new customers, ensuring a smooth transition into our services.
  • Contribute to the delivery of a housing management service, including income collection and providing customers with tenancy-related support.
  • Work with customers to maintain a safe environment, reporting any repairs or health and safety concerns.
  • Clean and prepare customer rooms as appropriate, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Resolve difficult and challenging situations in a sensitive and informed way, balancing the needs of the individual with the safety of the service.
  • Ensure customer safety by following local safeguarding procedures, recognizing and acting on any risks and escalating appropriately.
  • Contribute to and maintain local partnerships to ensure availability of a holistic range of support for customers.
  • Carry out day-to-day administration and operational duties, ensuring the smooth running of our services.
  • Maintain and update financial administration systems, including rent accounts, invoices, petty cash, and banking.
  • Assist in collating and submitting information returns on funding, health and safety, and performance.
  • Act as a point of contact on the phone, reception, and deal with a range of enquiries, providing excellent customer service.
Other Information
  • You will be required to work flexible hours to meet customer and business needs, which may not include normal office hours.
  • Use the Lone Worker system as and when necessary, ensuring your safety and well-being.
  • Ensure customers are safe at all times, carrying out all of your duties within Riverside's Policy and Procedure framework.
  • Deliver your role in line with Riverside company values – 'Our Riverside Way', promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and excellence.
  • Participate in team meetings, attend regular supervisions, and reflecting practice sessions, ensuring continuous learning and development.
  • Undertake regular training and take responsibility for continuous development to enable you to deliver your role safely and effectively.
  • From time to time, you may be required to undertake additional duties and responsibilities in consultation with your Line Manager.
