About the Business

Transaction Recruitment is proud to present an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join a reputable service business based in Birmingham. This role offers a unique chance to gain insights into a thriving industry and contribute to the company's growth.

Main Responsibilities
  • Prepare and present monthly management accounts, including accruals and prepayments, journals, bank reconciliations, and profit and loss statements.
  • Perform quarterly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Controller to review and analyze financial data, providing actionable insights to drive business decisions.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns, review VAT journals, and reallocate VAT refunds.
  • Conduct a monthly review of ledgers with the Financial Controller to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with bookkeeping tasks as needed.
  • Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
Requirements
  • Studying or recently qualified in ACCA/CIMA/ACA.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
