Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead cost planning and commercial management throughout the entire life cycle of projects.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans.
  • Oversee and manage procurement processes, including tender preparation and evaluation.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk, value management, and cost control exercises.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Monitor project finances, manage variations, and prepare detailed financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior quantity surveyors and other team members.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience as a quantity surveyor, ideally within a main contracting environment.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, contract law, and industry regulations.
  • A proven track record in cost planning, budget management, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in using industry-specific software and tools.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Leadership experience and ability to mentor junior team members.
