Special Educational Needs Coordinator

A dedicated and passionate SENCO is required to lead the school's provision for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to identify and assess the needs of pupils requiring SEN support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor progress.
- Provide professional guidance and support to teachers on differentiation and best practices for inclusive teaching.
- Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure the effective coordination of support for children with SEN.
- Maintain accurate records and oversee the school's SEN budget and resources.
- Contribute to the school's strategic SEN policy and promote an inclusive ethos throughout the school.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or a willingness to work towards it.
- A strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and current legislation.
- Proven experience of working with children with a range of special educational needs.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
