Special Educational Needs Support Assistant

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Support Worker to join our team at a special educational need school in the Brighton area. The successful candidate will have experience working with students with SEN and be able to provide high-quality support to pupils with profound multiple learning difficulties, ASC, and ADHD.
About the School:
The school caters for pupils aged 6-16 and offers a unique curriculum that includes core subjects and vocational activities. The successful candidate will be expected to support pupils in a classroom environment and during breaks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with SEN in a classroom environment and during breaks
- Build rapport with pupils and provide emotional support
- Assist with lesson planning and preparation
- Communicate effectively with teachers and other support staff
Requirements:
- Experience working with students with SEN
- Ability to build rapport with pupils and provide emotional support
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS check
