Warehouse Operative Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our client's dynamic and growing team in Hungerford. As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, working closely with team members and supervisors to meet daily targets and improve processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Picking Orders: Use handheld scanners or pick lists to locate and pick items based on customer orders.
  • Fitting: Conduct basic parts assembly or reconfiguration using hand tools.
  • Packing & Labelling: Prepare items for shipment by securely packing and labelling them.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory by conducting regular counts and reporting discrepancies.
  • Quality Control: Inspect items for damage or defects before packing and notify supervisors of any issues.
  • Organisation: Keep the warehouse clean and organized to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet daily targets and improve processes.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, as required. Training will be provided. Some heavy lifting may be involved.
