Warehouse Operative Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Warehouse Operative to join our client's dynamic and growing team in Hungerford. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of customer orders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Picking Orders: Utilize handheld scanners or pick lists to locate and pick items based on customer orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Fitting: Conduct basic parts assembly or reconfiguration using hand tools, adhering to quality standards.
  • Packing & Labelling: Prepare items for shipment by securely packing and labelling them, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory by conducting regular counts and reporting discrepancies, contributing to a seamless supply chain.
  • Quality Control: Inspect items for damage or defects before packing and notify supervisors of any issues, upholding our commitment to quality.
  • Organisation: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet daily targets and improve processes, fostering a collaborative and supportive team culture.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, as required, with training provided.
