Job Title: Qualified Social Worker

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Foster and Adoption Team.

About the Role:

As a Qualified Social Worker, you will be working in a busy and supportive team who recruit, assess, prepare, and train prospective carers and adopters to meet the specific needs of children in accordance with legal requirements and guidance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake assessments of prospective carers through individual visits, preparation training, and completion of reports and presentation of cases to appropriate panels.
  • Provide prompt and responsive support to carers and prospective adopters; participate in the regular review of family placements, agree the purpose and tasks of placements, and the roles and responsibilities of all parties.
  • Assist carers to make suitable arrangements to facilitate contact between the child/young person and their birth families.
  • Work in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, informed by the values and principles of social care.
Requirements:

We are looking for a Qualified Social Worker with significant experience and excellent communication skills. You will be supporting in the delivery of person-centered, safe, and effective social care services.

Using your professional knowledge and experience, you'll make assessments and decisions about the most appropriate interventions.
