Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a member of our ward team, you will play a vital role in implementing prescribed care and providing administrative support to our registered nurses.
Main Responsibilities
• Assist in the provision of high-quality patient care, ensuring patients receive individualized attention and support.
• Ensure that patients arriving on the ward are assessed and settled within the department, maintaining a calm and welcoming environment.
• Maintain a clean and well-stocked department, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
• Facilitate the provision of food and drinks, ensuring patients' nutritional needs are met.
Requirements
• NVQ level 2 or equivalent, or willingness to work towards diploma level 2.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Experience working in a patient care setting, preferably in a customer-facing environment.
• Understanding of patients' special needs during illness.
