Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Technical Infrastructure Consultant to join our Field-based Engineering team in the South UK region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality data cabling projects that meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver data cabling projects that meet customer expectations and adhere to industry standards.
  • Conduct surveys of customer premises to identify installation requirements and report findings from an installation perspective.
  • Work at heights using ladders, podium steps, and access platforms to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
  • Follow plans, marked drawings, and crib sheets to carry out network cabling installations (copper and fibre) according to Vodafone's quality standards.
  • Install containment and catenary wires, perform duct work using tools like a cobra, and fibre splicing for both single mode and multimode fibres.
  • Provide effective support to Engineering Technical Leads and Authorities during installations, ensuring seamless project delivery.
  • Produce Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMs) to mitigate potential risks and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in the field, with a strong background in installing copper and fibre networks.
  • Proficiency in firestopping, CPD, and vendor training is essential.
  • Hold or willing to obtain relevant certifications, including Firestopping qualifications, SC clearance, IOSH, CCNSG, ECS cards, Face fit training, Excel Cabling Partner Training, MEWPs certification, PASMA certification, Certified Network Cable Installer, Certified Integrated Infrastructure Technician, CAT2 in electrical works, Certified Network Infrastructure Technician, and ECSE Design for site surveys.
  • Experience as a commercial electrician with containment is advantageous.
  • Ability to understand Vodafone's business objectives and align with Health and Safety policies is crucial.
Estimated Salary

£40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
