Senior Accounts Assistant Role Overview

NC Associates is partnering with a well-established and growing private equity-backed organization to recruit an experienced Senior Accounts Assistant to support the finance team. As a Senior Accounts Assistant, you will have full ownership of the Purchase Ledger function and be involved in all aspects from start to finish, reporting directly to the Financial Controller.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process purchase invoices, match to purchase orders, obtain authorization where necessary, code to the system, and resolve any queries.
  • Reconcile supplier statements.
  • Perform daily cash reconciliations for multiple currency accounts and credit cards.
  • Prepare proposed payment runs and upload payments onto the bank.
  • Process expenses and payments.
  • Support the senior management team with month-end journals, including bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Monitor multiple 3rd party portals for new invoices and reports.
  • Contribute to process improvements to streamline the AP function.
  • Support the management accounts team with various duties, including accruals and reconciliations.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in a similar finance role with extensive experience within purchase ledger.
  • Experience of end-to-end purchase ledger.
  • Dealt with large volumes of transactional posting.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Show initiative and be proactive.
  • Good time management.
  • Good Excel skills.
