Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team within Property Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of up to 5 staff members and will be accountable for the financial and contractual administration of projects carried out by L&Q.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage principal and subcontractors to achieve best value while protecting the business contractually.
  • Provide accurate financial forecasting and mitigation strategies for immediate implementation of all matters relating to contract and subcontract.
  • Manage budgetary constraints using forensic cost control techniques to achieve savings for the department.
  • Lead, motivate, communicate with, develop, appraise and performance manage employees to ensure they are fully motivated to achieve best performance.
  • Support Operational Colleagues and other relevant colleagues to ensure all significant project issues and correspondence and all necessary contractual processes have been observed.
Requirements:
  • Proven Commercial professional with extensive Senior Management experience.
  • Related degree or HNC level or equivalent substantial experience.
  • Commercial awareness with good legal/contractual knowledge.
  • Competent in the use of standard methods of measurement.
