About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Pharmacist to join our team in the Acute Medical Directorate and Emergency Department at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. As an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care, working closely with medical and nursing staff to optimize medication use and improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients and develop treatment plans to optimize care
  • Provide specialist clinical pharmacy and medicines optimisation services to patients
  • Use your knowledge of medicines to advise consultants, medical, nursing and pharmacy staff on pharmaceutical aspects of medicines
  • Deliver pharmaceutical care to patients and recommend best therapeutic options
  • Undertake risk management for the pharmacy service and ensure compliance with medicines legislation and guidelines
Person Specification

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Pharmacist who has:

  • Professional knowledge acquired through a vocational degree in pharmacy
  • Currently Registered as a pharmacist in the UK
  • Clinical specialist knowledge acquired through postgraduate level training
  • Experience in influencing and persuading senior clinicians in relation to optimal medicine treatment for patients
  • Experience in reviewing medication errors and analysing for trends
  • Experience in providing an on-call or resident Pharmacy service
