Deputy Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Additional Resources. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in leading a committed team and providing direct support to residents in a residential care setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with daily management and operational efficiency to ensure the smooth running of the service.
  • Foster strong relationships with residents, staff, and external agencies to promote a positive and supportive environment.
  • Proactively respond to individual needs and overall service requirements to ensure the highest level of care.
  • Assume overall responsibility in the absence of the service manager to ensure continuity and stability.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and organisational standards to maintain a high level of quality and safety.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Deputy Manager or in a similar role in a residential care setting.
  • At least 2 years' management experience in a residential care setting with a background in delivering high-quality support within a social care environment.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and Care Quality Commission inspections.
  • Proven leadership skills within a residential care setting with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Hold or have a willingness to complete a Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care Management.
