Job Title: Clinical Vascular Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Vascular Scientist to join our team at London North West Healthcare NHS Trust.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical vascular services to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of vascular conditions. They will also be expected to supervise junior physiotherapy staff, teach students and peers, and participate in audit and research activities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Minimum of 4 years relevant clinical experience
  • 2 years of experience at Band 6 level in respiratory, covering colorectal surgery, chronic disease management, and ITU
  • Supervision of junior physiotherapy staff
  • Experience of teaching students and peers
  • Experience of audit/research process

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous prehabilitation experience
  • Previous experience at Band 7 level
  • Previous management of patients following colorectal surgery

Essential Skills:

  • Competent IT skills
  • Ability to organise, prioritise, and delegate
  • Ability to appraise and develop team members through the IPR process
  • Effective communication skills

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with data collection
  • Involvement in pre-habilitation of surgical patients
  • Involvement in research/audit
  • Ability to lead a small team in difficult situations
